First, the bad news: unfortunately, due to the unhealthy air quality conditions in the region, we are forced to postpone tomorrow’s race for another day.  The forecast shows no improvement for tomorrow; with stagnating wind conditions potentially worsening the situation.  We explored options to delay the start, even leaning on impending rain to clear the particulate.  However, the forecasted thunderstorms rolling through just didn’t help matters.

As frustrating as this is for us all, be assured that we value your health and safety above all.  I chose not to ride outside today, certainly can’t ask you to race in these conditions.  Beyond our sport, our thoughts are with the communities, families, and first responders throughout Canada who are more directly and severely impacted by these devastating wildfires.

Now the good news: We have successfully rescheduled for Saturday, August 15.  We recognize that August 15 was the originally scheduled date for the TMB Time Trial. Expect a separate communication to address that event.
