Today we have a few exciting announcements for the upcoming season plus a warm welcome to a few new members.

First… Team Survey!

We’re looking to add a lot of fun and events to the calendar. So if you could, spend a couple of minutes to tell us what you’re looking for.

New Members!
First I want to apologize to one of our core juniors for forgetting to welcome him to the team. Keegan Danielsen, welcome to the team buddy! Let’s also welcome a few members that have joined since the Party at Pops.

Some I welcomed on FB already… but since not everyone is on FB… Welcome to the team! Matt and Martin will be joining an already stacked TT team, and Alyson… well, once we get her to the starting line, podiums will come in bunches!

CALLING ALL RACE VOLUNTEERS!!
All of our races are permitted and open for registration. As you know, no races happen without your help, so please contact me, Joe, Chuck or anyone on the board to let us know when you are free to help.

More Team Race Support!
This year we’re going to try to coordinate our race schedule so we can provide more team support and have some more fun at a few key races. Think:

• Race support with team tent and team mechanic
• Race fuel, recovery drinks and more.
• Maximize the fun with a bigger / more coordinated team presence

Sunday Ride Leaders Needed

With all the new members, look for our Sunday Social Ride to evolve a bit. Especially looking for ride leaders for the beginner / C ride. No experience? No problem, we’ll talk way beforehand and get you ready.

Thursday Crit Worlds
Hoping to start up crit practices at Skillman Park on Thursday evenings. Plan is some high octane training with neutral laps, some instruction from Rick and our more experienced racers. All levels welcome (seriously).

Pops Maintenance Clinics
In the next month or so, Pops will be starting up a series of bike maintenance clinics. If you’re interested, let us know!

We’ll supply snacks and refreshments.

Skills Clinics
Some of our members will be offering a variety of clinics. Crit clinics, aero testing, group riding / bike handling and more.

Charity Rides
Let’s get out there and represent Team Somerset on a couple of charity rides this year. Thinking 1 early season and 1 late.

Expect an after party, food, drinks and SWAG.

Team Store to Reopen Soon
With 33 new members since last spring, the team store is getting some work for sure. Expect it to open up soon.

Coming soon: Limited Edition ALT JERSEYS
This year we’ll be doing a limited run of alternative jerseys! Sports fans, think of Mets or Jets alt jerseys. Limited release – so get ’em while they last! These are just for fun, so racers, we’ll still be racing in our traditional red and blacks. If you don’t like the look, no worries, we hope to release new designs periodically.
